Alyce Elmore is my name, and speculative fiction is what I mostly write.

I became an avid reader long before becoming a writer. My love affair with the written word started young and has only grown stronger over the years.
The stories I've read have taken me to places familiar and exotic. They've introduced me to lifelong friends. Frightened me with their villains.
They're binoculars, microscopes and mirrors. They've made me appreciate the best of times and supported me through the worst.
So it is with some trepidation that I take on the role of writer.

Like everything else, writing too, requires learning. Honing the craft of writing is a never-ending process. It requires diligence!
The frightening part of being a writer is the part we can’t control. Call it imagination or inspiration, or the Greek name Calliope; every writer relies on it!
It’s the muse that breaths life into the written word and it’s the muse we serve, not the other way round.
